SMKN 11 Cempaka OKU Timur, South Sulawesi, Visits President University to Learn More About Mechanical and Industrial Engineering Programs
President University welcomed a group from SMKN 11 Cempaka OKU Timur, South Sulawesi, who visited to gain firsthand insights into the Mechanical Engineering Program, Faculty of Engineering. The visit was held on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at the Charles Himawan Auditorium, 5th floor of Building A, President University campus on Jl. Ki Hajar Dewantara, Jababeka City, Cikarang. The agenda of the visit was to provide vocational students with knowledge about the latest developments in mechanical engineering, such as robotics and electric vehicles.
During the event, the Head of the Mechanical Engineering Program, Dr.Eng. Lydia Anggraini, ST, M.Eng., explained the fundamentals of the study program and its relevance in the modern era. Meanwhile, Dr.Eng. Rudi Suhradi Rachmat, a lecturer from the Mechanical Engineering Program, presented topics related to the manufacturing process and the future of mechanical engineering. He stated, “As automation and the integration of advanced technologies continue to grow, careers in mechanical engineering will be key in supporting various industrial innovations in the future.” Another presentation was delivered by Dr. Ghany Heryana, ST, MT, also a lecturer from the Mechanical Engineering Program, who discussed how electric vehicles will become one of the crucial pillars in the global energy transition.
The event continued with a Q&A session covering campus life, career prospects, and current technological developments in the industry. In addition, the students from SMKN 11 Cempaka OKU Timur toured the Mechanical Engineering Program’s facilities, campus environment, dormitories, and various other facilities. (Akmal Zaki, PR team.
