President University Collaborates with the UMKM Mentorship Program in Bekasi Regency to Hold a Workshop on Franchising

On Tuesday, October 22, 2023, President University (Presuniv) again collaborated with the Mentorship Program for Advancing Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) in Bekasi Regency. The workshop aimed to help  UMKM entrepreneurs to understand franchising and was titled. “Franchise Partnership Procedures and Laws as a Superior Strategy for UMKM Development in Cikarang.” The workshop, held at the JNE Cibitung office in West Cikarang District, Bekasi Regency, featured Dr. Dra. Fennieka Kristianto, SH, MH, MA, M.Kn., Dean of the Faculty of Law, as the speaker. The event was moderated by Filda Rahmiati, BBA, MBA, Ph.D., Regional Coordinator of the UMKM Mentorship Program, who is also a lecturer in the Management Study Program, Faculty of Business, Presuniv.

Fennieka explained that developing a business does not always require significant capital. “You can invite friends who are interested in joining the business. Invite them to purchase your franchise rights,” said Fennieka. She emphasized that it’s never too late for UMKM entrepreneurs to open franchise licenses to grow their businesses without needing a large amount of capital. However, Fennieka reminded the UMKM participants to study the legal aspects of franchising and to proceed with caution. “Don’t start taking steps without understanding franchise agreement laws. President University Holds Meeting with Alumni Working in Embassies, International Organizations, and NGOs

  On Friday, October 25, 2024, President University (Presuniv) held a meeting with various alumni who are currently working in embassies, international organizations, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs). The meeting was held at Coffee Bean in Kuningan City and was attended by Presuniv Rector Handa S. Abidin, SH, LL.M., Ph.D., Dr. Dra.   On Wednesday, October 23, 2024, President University (Presuniv) welcomed the Information Systems Study Program team from Hasanuddin University, Makassar, South Sulawesi, for a benchmarking visit regarding the implementation of the education system.
