Jaya Iskandar, President University IT Student, Wins 2nd Place in Blockchain Hackathon in the United States
Jaya Iskandar, a 2022 Information Technology student from the Faculty of Computer Science, President University (Presuniv), and his team secured 2nd place in the TRON DAO Blockchain Hackathon at Columbia University, New York, United States (US). Jaya is a recipient of the Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards (IISMA) 2024 scholarship and is currently interning at Boston University (US).
In this competition, Jaya and his team from Boston University, Russell Joarder and Karl Alfred Boma, introduced an innovative application called Swap Squad, a decentralized marketplace platform. For more than 10 hours, they worked in a coding sprint to develop this smart contract-based application. “Swap Squad will significantly reduce transaction costs for both sellers and buyers,” explained Jaya. This competition marked Jaya’s first hackathon experience and further strengthened his commitment to bringing the knowledge and values he gained at Presuniv to the international stage.
